This kit is used to detect the V600E mutation of the proto-oncogene B-Raf (B-RafProto-Oncogene, Serine/Threonine Kinase, BRAF) encoding serine/threonine kinase (COSM476, c.1799T> A).
Mutations in the BRAF gene are associated with various cancers, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma, colorectal cancer, malignant melanoma, thyroid cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, and lung adenocarcinoma.
The valine at the 600th position of exon 15 of the BRAF gene is replaced by glutamic acid (V600E). This mutation leads to the continuous activation of the downstream MEK-ERK signaling pathway, which affects cell division, differentiation and secretion, and affects the growth and proliferation of tumors. and invasion and metastasis are crucial. At present, some small molecule inhibitors such as vemurafenib and dabrafenib have a good inhibitory effect on BRAF V600E.
